Six-month snapshot of North Shore's sales

While statistics can sometimes be made to do what the creator wants them to do, they can also be used to identify trends. Take,  for example, real estates sales on the North Shore.
Using the last six months as a benchmark, sales on the North Shore have at least been stable.
For example, in North Vancouver:
Sales of detached homes have been up in four of the six months, attached homes sales have been level and apartment sales have been down in four of the six months.
Meanwhile, in West Vancouver:
Sales of detached homes have been even over the last six months, attached homes sales have been up 3-2 with one month equal to the previous month, and apartment sales have been even.
So, while sales of North Shore residential homes haven’t broken free of a soft real estate market, neither have they been consumed by it.
The best month for selling detached homes was September in West Vancouver and June in North Vancouver. For attached homes, it was April (West Van) and May (North Van), and for apartments the best months were June and August in West Vancouver, and May in North Vancouver.
Not surprisingly, summer months were generally soft in both North Shore neighbourhoods. Except for summer, detached homes in North Van were up in the other four months, attached homes down in three of the last four months and apartment sales down for four months in a row.
Strong months on either end of summer, detached homes in West Vancouver are trending up, the sample of attached homes is too small to be significant and apartments have been up and down.
Trends?
The most significant one is that sales on the North Shore have been more or less stable.
